BlockBuster ‘Power User’ Workshop

This workshop is designed for Senior Schedulers and advanced Runcutters with a well versed understanding of BlockBuster. The morning session takes an intensive look at penalties and parameters, travel alternatives, floating reliefs, night differentials, created pull-outs and pull-ins, and much more. Participants will also get insight on various strategies, with advanced cause and effect.

The afternoon session provides the opportunity to test out some alternatives presented in the morning session. Participants will use the Trapeze BlockBuster software in the computer lab, and a senior instructor will be readily available during this period.

PASS ‘Power User’ Workshop

The heart of the PASS system is its scheduling capabilities.  Since its introduction, constant innovation has made the PASS solution steadily more sophisticated – and complex. Combining both lecture and hands on training for advanced users, this one day workshop provides an in-depth training seminar in PASS scheduling capabilities.

The morning session will include a detailed explanation of how the PASS scheduling controls can be used to get the scheduling results you want.  Topics will include basic strategies for developing better schedules along with detailed instruction in the use of the schedule booking wizard and the batch schedule agent for diagnosing scheduling issues that need to be addressed.  Participants will have the opportunity for hands on experimentation with these controls.

The afternoon session will delve into time/distance management, including how to make sure you are using fast costing and requested drop-off logic correctly.  There will be a thorough review of scheduling parameters and their use, as well as effective use of optimization techniques.  One of Trapeze’s senior developers will be available to assist in answering specific questions and to help suggest appropriate strategies.

This informative session will provide a unique opportunity to “think outside the box” and take home some new ideas that you users can implement in their own workplaces.

TransitMaster Advanced Workshop

This workshop is designed for Senior Schedulers, Advanced System Administrators and Dispatchers with a solid understanding of TransitMaster. This session provides participants with instruction on creating and maintaining vehicle announcements, database structures, processes used to populate the TransitMaster™ Main database, and further information on implementing the Intelligent Decision Support (IDS) dispatch tool within an organization.

This session also includes instruction on how to prioritize events, create action plans, how to create work instruction checklists and to create customized notifications to critical staff members via their mobile devices.

Further explore all the features and functionality that TransitMaster has to offer in this advanced workshop. A senior product expert will guide users through an intensive, product specific targeted training. Attendees will take away from this session ways to enhance their own work environment and apply best practices into their own transit organizations.
