Account Manager - Pacific Northwest

THE POSITION

We are looking for an Account Manager with excellent demonstrated strategic sales, communication, presentation and organizational skills. The goal of this role is; to uncover and drive sales opportunities, build multi-layered relationships within prospects and current customer organizations, and push the sales cycle with an unwavering focus on revenue and profits. You will work to identify new sales prospects, understand and assess customer requirements through in-depth discovery, addressing roadblocks and overcome obstacles throughout the sales process. We deploy a matrix sales environment in which our account managers will need to effectively marshal and deploy our resources throughout the sales process.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate revenue to achieve or exceed quota by selling products and services to new and existing customers within an assigned territory
  • Conduct remote and on-site discovery sessions to identify prospective customer’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead product overview presentations and lead in-depth product demonstrations (by our solution consultants) to both technical and non-technical prospective customer audiences
  • Actively participate in and manage the solution selling process, from initial discovery through closing.
  • Maintain knowledge of company’s products
  • Prepare quotes and proposals in response to RFP/RFQ/RFI’s.
  • Manage the transition of projects from the sales team to the implementation team
  • Accurate pipeline and forecast management
  • Required to attend annual sales conferences, technical training and a limited number of customer visits.

 

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (business or marketing preferred); or equivalent education and 10 years of sales experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must have the following qualifications:
    • Experience selling transportation software is highly desired.
    • At least 5 years experience selling software
    • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, and written; proficient computer skills.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
    • Ability to work remotely in an aggressive business environment without constant supervision.
    • Great time management and organization skills.
    • Overachiever, self-starter, able to learn on the fly
    • Quota Driven with a documented and verifiable track record of over achievement
