The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) has partnered with The Sierra Club, The Natural Resources Defence Council (NRDC), and public transportation systems across the country to celebrate National Dump the Pump Day! With gas prices being high, public transit is a great alternative to driving and on June 21st we want YOU to dump the pump and take public transit to work, school or to play!
Dump the Pump encourages people to ride public transportation and save money in these tough economic times ( a recent APTA report states you can save on average $10,000 a year!)
