Geauga County Board Of Commissioners Selects Trapeze Demand Response Software

Trapeze Group today announced that the Geauga County Board of Commissioners has signed a contract for a demand response software solution from Trapeze that is designed to help improve their overall operations and enhance the customer experience.

This new offering to be implemented by Geauga County enables its passengers to quickly gain access to, and request paratransit information via a touchtone telephone. With flexible 24 hours a day, seven day a week automated system access, passengers are able to set up call-back reminders that promote punctuality and reduce missed trips.

“We are unique in that our entire county is demand response. There was a tremendous need for an automated system to handle client calls and inquiries. The new Trapeze application provides us with an automated system to all this along with the ability to respond to multiple requests simultaneously, creating efficiencies within our customer service operations,” said Kristina Reider, Director at Geauga County Transit.

The paratransit software solution that Geauga County chose is designed to help dramatically reduce driver wait times and no shows, as well as prevent same day cancellations. The transportation application includes IVR Confirm, Callback and Cancel modules that enable clients to review trip bookings through a computerized voice system to confirm accuracy.

Trapeze mobile computing solutions that were chosen connect vehicles, the dispatch center and the “back office” in real-time. This solution helps operators achieve specific, measurable goals, such as same-day bookings, fewer denials, improved on-time performance and an overall increase in passenger trips per hour. The Web application extends the functionality available in their demand response scheduling system by enabling passengers to confirm, cancel or book trips online. Passengers may access this service 24 hours a day, through any browser, such as, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari. In addition, passengers have the ability to review or edit client information or view their trips on a GIS map.
