RTC Purchases New Ticket Vending Machines to Improve Rider Experience in Las Vegas
MISSISSAUGA, ON - July 07, 2014

Trapeze Group today announced that the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada selected Trapeze's Ticket Vending Machines for use in the city of Las Vegas.

The RTC's increased investment in a positive traveller experience includes an update to their ticketing process with the implementation of the Trapeze Ticket Vending Machine. The RTC's riders can complete their transactions quickly and efficiently, allowing them to enjoy fewer lineups and minimized wait times through the use of the TVM's simple, logical interface. Enhanced security features such as 24-hour video surveillance and heightened durability enables the RTC to provide a safe faring experience for their riders and employees.

John Hines, President of Trapeze explained, "We're very excited to bring this innovative ticketing technology to North America at the RTC. It is important to see transit agencies such as the RTC investing in the rider experience by setting a new standard in the industry."

For the RTC, the addition of the new Trapeze ticket vending machine means improved revenue management efficiencies as well as the elimination of many logistical and administrative challenges, allowing a greater focus on improving their commitment to the customer experience.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has been a valued customer of Trapeze for over a decade and is both the transit authority and the transportation-planning agency for Southern Nevada. With more than 64 million riders per year and growing, the RTC is committed to promoting sustainability, improving air quality, enhancing mobility and increasing quality of life in the Southern Nevada region.
