Hundreds of Experts, in All Areas of Transit, Come Together to Shape the Meaning of Transit Mobility
Chicago, IL - April 10, 2017

Trapeze Group is excited to launch its newly rebranded ThinkTransit conference to assist its approximately 400 attendees on the growth and evolution of the transit industry.

Running April 9-12, 2017, the conference brings together transit professionals from over 80 agencies across North America. Concentrating on challenges the industry faces, meeting State of Good Repair deadlines for example, allows attendees to take real, practical examples back to their agencies. The necessity to understand hot topics and the general public’s needs – whether it’s working with TNCs or identifying the true value of real-time information – leads to better understanding of the new trends and the technologies within the market to anticipate the next game changer.

"This shift in priorities allows for everyone to see the full potential of the applications of today while giving them a glimpse into the possible technologies of the future," said Kevin Bade, General Manager, Trapeze Group North America. "Working directly with customers enables us to build solutions together to adapt to the changing transit landscape of that future."

To accent this notion, Gabe Klein, Co-Founder, CityFi, opened the conference with a dynamic keynote address that talked about how transportation plays into building better cities and what that means for public transit. Fixing the way cities are built, with a solid foundation of best, transit-focused technologies, motivates the entire industry to look at mobility as a whole, causing ThinkTransit to ask: What can we all do to make a shared, connected and autonomous community, a reality?

The conference has evolved into one that now focuses on more than user training. Offering over 120 sessions, three keynotes, and three technical tours of local agencies all lend themselves to transforming this conference into a must attend for any transit professional. ThinkTransit is not just for customers anymore.

ThinkTransit is an annual event, and a call for speakers and discussion topics is always open because the dialog to better public transit never ceases. For more information, please visit trapezegroup.com/thinktransit.
