Trapeze Releases Upgrade for Florida Medicaid Agencies
New interface streamlines eligibility verification and claims
August 15, 2002 (Scottsdale, AZ) -- Trapeze Software today announced it has released new interfaces for its popular PASS paratransit software that allow Florida Medicaid agencies to electronically process claims submissions and verify client eligibility.
“Many agencies in Florida use PASS to manage their paratransit, community and non-emergency medical transportation services, but until now, they had to re-enter much of the data when they wanted to submit a claim or check the eligibility of a client,” explains Rick Bacchus, president of Trapeze Software. “These new interfaces do the calculations and data formatting automatically and will help agencies save time and money by improving productivity and reporting.”
The new interfaces support standard formats including ACS (formerly Consultec) for claims submission and MediFAX and eHDL for client eligibility verification. Agencies can now extract trip and client data directly from Trapeze PASS and work with it to generate claims submissions, billing reports and eligibility queries. Information returned in these formats can be added to the database used by PASS to ensure accurate and consistent record keeping.
“Medicaid-funded agencies are trying to stretch every dollar and these interfaces help by reducing the administrative time spent on billing and eligibility so staff can focus on providing services to the community,” Bacchus said.
The company expects to develop similar interfaces for other jurisdictions in the near furture.
