Software Delivers Automated Tools for Smaller Transportation Operations

NOVEMBER 7, 2002 (BEACHWOOD, OH) – Trapeze Software today announced the release of MapNet Lite, an affordable, automated routing and scheduling software application for smaller school districts, commercial operators, and Head Start agencies.

“There is a real need for low-cost applications among small student transportation organizations,” says Steven McKinley, Operations Manger for Trapeze school products. “With MapNet Lite, we’re able to provide the automation found in our MapNet product, but without some of the more sophisticated features that smaller organizations don’t need.”

MapNet Lite is an easy-to-use application that manages student transportation information, automatically creates safe stops and routes, and allows users to work with custom maps.
“The software is designed to improve productivity in transportation departments by dramatically reducing route planning times, optimizing the number of buses in operation, efficiently deploying drivers, and providing staff with quick access to information.” McKinley explains.

MapNet Lite runs under Windows NT/2000/XP. Trapeze also offers MapNet, an automated routing, redistricting and reporting application for larger school districts.
