Sherbrooke Selects Trapeze
for Automated Demand Response Scheduling and Dispatch System
November 11, 2002 – Toronto, ON – Trapeze Software announced today that the Société de transport de Sherbrooke has chosen Trapeze PASS to manage the registration, scheduling and dispatching of its demand response services.
Sherbrooke will implement a French-language version of PASS that enables Trapeze to better serve its growing list of valued customers in the Quebec market.
Following a recent amalgamation of services in the area that resulted in a dramatic increase in the volume of trips that Sherbrooke books each day, the agency decided to migrate to PASS with its fully automated scheduling functionality. Sherbrooke has been a customer of Trapeze since July 2000, when the agency implemented Trapeze PASS-Lite.
“With its powerful scheduling algorithm, real-time service monitoring capabilities integrated GIS mapping and flexible report writing features, PASS provides a complete paratransit solution that will meet Sherbrooke’s needs for the long term,” says Rick Bacchus, President and CEO of Trapeze Software Inc.
PASS is a fully automated scheduling, booking and management system for paratransit operations. Trapeze also offers PASS-Lite for agencies that do not require the full feature set of PASS.
The Société de transport de Sherbrooke provides an average of 650 demand response trips per weekday using 10 peak vehicles. Currently there are more than 2000 registered users of the service.
