Roslagståg Chooses Trapeze Crew Allocation System
(Århus, Denmark) 19 December, 2002. Trapeze Software announced today it has signed a contract with the newly established rail company, Roslagståg for an operations system. Roslagtåg will use the system for duty and roster planning, payroll calculation, daily allocation and statistical analysis.
On January 7, 2003 Roslagståg will take on the operation of the Roslagsbanen section of rail to the north of Stockholm, Sweden serving approximately 10-million passengers per year.
"For some time we have examined the market for staff allocation software." says, Bengt-Erik Johansson, an executive with Roslagståg, "We chose the system from Trapeze Software, because it is an efficient and complete system, which exactly meets our needs. We have received very good references from other users of the system and this has proved to us that we have made the right choice. We have very limited time to put the system into operation, but with the time schedule we have made for the implementation, training of personnel and entering of data we expect it will be ready for operations in January."
Originally developed for the bus sector, the Trapeze staff allocation system has increasingly been adopted by train companies in Europe, including AKN Eisenbahn in Northern Germany and Arriva in Denmark.
The staff allocation system is a thoroughly-tested and advanced application which, together with integrated planning systems from Trapeze Software, constitutes a total system solution for public transport planning and operation.
Trapeze Software has offices in Denmark, England, Germany, Holland, USA and Canada.
