Siemens Chooses Trapeze for Santa Monica Project

September 29, 2003 (Scottsdale, AZ) – Trapeze Software announced today that it has been selected by Siemens Transportation Systems - Integrated Local Government Systems (ILG) Division, Cedar Rapids, IA to provide integrated scheduling and customer information software for the Big Blue Bus, the City of Santa Monica’s public transit authority.

The solution will include Trapeze FX for routing, scheduling, runcutting and rostering, and Trapeze INFO modules for agent-attended, web-based and interactive voice response (IVR) customer information.

The Trapeze applications will interface with Siemens ILG’s TransitMaster™ Advanced Fleet Management System, which includes GPS-based automatic vehicle location, computer-assisted dispatching, automatic passenger counters, traveler information and on-vehicle announcement systems.

The new system will help the City of Santa Monica deliver accurate route definition, streamlined, automated scheduling, cost-effective vehicle and driver assignment and real-time schedule and vehicle location information that is consistent and accurate across all access modes.
