Dallas County Schools Enhances School Transportation Management SystemAdds reporting capabilities using AVL technology CLEVELAND, OH, FEBRUARY 24, 2009 – Trapeze Group today announced that Dallas County Schools in Dallas, Texas is enhancing their existing Trapeze school transportation management system with additional capabilities using new, Web-based Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology. Automatic Vehicle Location technology helps school transport providers meet safety, efficiency and service improvements with real-time data. AVL lets dispatch operators see a mapped location for every vehicle, using GPS technology or a variety of other wireless communication services. Historical route and schedule adherence data can be analyzed for future planning and management. With the security features in the new technology, schools can access their specific bus locations in real time, for both viewing and reporting. A valued customer since 2002, Dallas County Schools operates a comprehensive and integrated Trapeze school transportation management solution to manage their daily transport functions. The existing end-to-end solution is based on an automated scheduling and routing software that delivers tools for planning, productivity and reporting. In addition, AVL capabilities can help the organization locate vehicles, manage operations and access long-range data. Web interfacing allows all parents, caregivers, staff, drivers, schools, depots and the public to securely access real-time school transport data online. When asked why Dallas County Schools initially selected Trapeze, Mullins said: “We believe Trapeze has provided us with the transportation products and staff support to undergo successful implementations every time. We receive a combination of proper service, customer support and training. At Dallas County Schools, our high priority is to provide safe and secure transportation services, and Trapeze products assist us in meeting our goals.” About Trapeze Group
