You're constantly challenged to provide the best possible passenger service platform within the constraints of your agency. The Ridership track will explore issues associated with ridership, including methods to analyze and increase ridership, how to engage passengers in ways that increase their satisfaction, and approaches for creating more cost-effective service delivery models in your transit organization.
Planning and Operating services today force transit agencies to do more with less. The Productivity - Scheduling & Dispatch track focuses on strategies that your agency can use to meet these growing challenges, whether that be deploying and building more efficient schedules or utilizing your workforce more effectively. The Productivity track will include sessions on increasing the efficiencies of your staff with leading scheduling and workforce management tools, how to improve best practice strategies in employee utilization, and how to implement new techniques to deploy additional service strategies.
You're focused on the mission of providing safe, reliable and cost effective transit service. Powerful industry trends, however, are making it increasingly difficult to meet this mission: uncertain levels of funding, increasing regulations (e.g., environment and safety-related), as well as the changing demographics of your workforce. The Productivity track focuses on strategies that your agency can use to meet these growing challenges. Among them include how to improve asset safety and regulatory compliance by deploying asset management best practice strategies, especially managing the requirements under the FTA's State of Good Repair.
Modern technology offers instant, up-to-the-moment information, so it’s only natural that passengers expect to be able to plan their trips, track and locate vehicles and look up departure information wherever they are, whenever they are. The Passenger Experience track will focus on ways to improve experience across all components of the passengers’ journey, and will offer sessions on real-time customer-facing applications, passenger communication methods, including social media, and measuring the overall customer experience.
Financing the construction, operation, and maintenance of public transportation systems is a critical component to the growth of your transit agency. In the Funding and Faring track, we will explore eligibility for and optimal utilization of funding sources, including: federal and non-federal grants, public and private partnerships, and other potential revenue streams. In addition, this track will examine best practices for managing fare revenue and discussing new faring trends, such as mobile ticketing, single payment capabilities for multi-modal, and advancements in ticket vending.
Delve into all the latest technical developments by streaming into the Transit Technology track. Learn how the latest technology trends and customer feedback is influencing innovation in the transit industry. With help from leading industry experts, we'll traverse exciting technical topics in architecture, data management, system integrations and more!
