How connected is your transit agency? How strong are the links that are so critical in bringing together the data, drivers, dispatchers and passengers that make your transit ecosystem work? Learn how agencies are improving communications and data ingestion and distribution within their systems through customer case studies and panel discussions and how Intelligent Transportation Systems are helping them do it. Discuss best practices with experts on how you can make real-time information possible and how to manage the thousands of messages a day that dispatch operators have to filter through. You’ll find it all in the Dispatch track at ThinkTransit.
Trip building, runcutting, route definition and reporting – it’s all part of keeping vehicles and riders on schedule. How to get this done as efficiently as possible is what the Scheduling & Planning track is all about. Hear from agencies just like yours about how they’re approaching the same challenges you’re concerned with and take back to your agencies actionable new ideas, inspiration and information.
Passengers today demand real-time information built into a flexible and reliable mobility system. The ability to communicate with your passengers effectively cannot be understated and providing them with a modern, easy experience that connects them with the people, places and digital spaces they enjoy should be top of mind for agencies today. This track dives into many of the touch points throughout the passenger experience, from automated fare collection to mobile applications to infotainment and more.
A powerful combination of new technologies and industry standards (TAM, PTC, etc.), is driving rapid innovation in the field of asset and maintenance management. In this track you will learn from peers discussing best practices in rail, bus and facilities management. In both Hands-on and classroom-style sessions, we will explore valuable new tools and techniques related to asset, work, and materials management. Get the latest on how vehicle intelligence/IoT, state of good repair, mobile, and data analytics tools are allowing transits to go beyond “Asset Management 101” to a more proactive, data-driven approach to asset lifecycle and work management. It’s all part of the Asset and Maintenance Management track at ThinkTransit.
The transit landscape is changing – and fast. New trends are emerging and agencies are trying hard to keep up. With more than 2/3 of riders walking to their stop or station, new ideas are coming to the forefront to get people through those first and last miles safely and quickly. Passengers are demanding more real-time information availability. Agencies need to come up with new ways to serve and communicate with their customer base. This track will focus on the innovative ways transit agencies and Trapeze (don’t miss our Incubation Avenue candidate presentations!) are reshaping the transit industry, discussing topics like cloud managed services, mobility management, integration, and women in transit.
The Demand Response track is filled with sessions that identify and address specific Paratransit operational challenges (solution-based sessions). We’ve assembled over a dozen transit professionals who will share their stories in interactive sessions. Gather with your Paratransit peers to learn what worked and valuable lessons learned directly from industry representatives who share a common goal.
