The current COVID-19 pandemic is impacting almost every aspect of our lives. We know that you’re working hard to ensure you have service and business continuity plans. In many cases, transit agencies are adjusting service offerings based on reduced service demand, availability in workforce, and other factors. Every agency is at different stages of their response to the COVID-19 emergency and needs to take a different course of action according to their specific operational needs and local government response.

We’re committed to helping you in any way possible during this uncertain time. We’ve identified some of the challenges that transit agencies are experiencing while adjusting their service and have a few resources for you:

LIVE WEBINARS:

Coming Up:

TOMORROW: Managing Through COVID-19: Paratransit Location Closures – Tues March 24

Register here

In response to COVID-19, some common locations are closing for a specific or undetermined amount of time, requiring you to adjust service locations. In this webinar, we will review solutions that some transit agencies are using and how to make the adjustments in your Trapeze paratransit software, PASS. We will also demonstrate how these changes affect clients who book their trips using PASS-Web and what additional configuration changes are needed.

Managing Through COVID-19: Paratransit Vehicle Capabilities and Passenger Communications – Thurs March 26

Register here

One of the new challenges is implementing “social distancing” (safely limiting or reducing the number of passengers in the vicinity to one another. To implement social distancing, your transit agency may want to reduce the number of passengers on board any vehicle at a given time or limit the number of passengers on board any vehicle to one passenger at a time.

In this webinar, we will review solutions that some transit agencies are using and how to make the adjustments in your Trapeze paratransit software, PASS.  We will also discuss the process of setting up service bulletins with PASS-Web and floodgate messaging using IVR, so you can communicate this information to passengers.

Managing Through COVID-19: Paratransit Community Safety – Tues March 31

Register here

While safety is always a top concern, as a result of COVID-19, sites are taking additional measures to ensure passenger safety. These steps include increasing the number of times vehicles are cleaned each day, as well as temporarily changing their policy for fare collection.

In this webinar, we will discuss options for using user defined breaks in your Trapeze paratransit software, PASS, to schedule vehicle sanitation at specified intervals. We will also discuss using the vehicle breakdown wizard to address downed vehicles and changing policies around fare collection.

PAST WEBINARS:

Managing Through COVID-19: Adjusting Fixed Route Service and Operations

Wednesday, March 18, at 2 PM EDT

Listen to the recording

This live webinar will help you make informed decisions that will reduce the impact on your operations team and ensure the smoothest possible rollout of schedule changes. The requirements and limitations will be unique to each agency, but knowing those requirements will help guide the best scheduling method to handle the schedule changes. This proactive approach will ensure that service runs smoothly and the impact to other areas of the business is mitigated.

Through this live webinar, you’ll get insights on what other agencies are doing, and what other things to consider when adjusting your service to help during your specific COVID19 contingency planning process. We can advise on and assess the impact to help implement changes proactively across all of our Trapeze solutions.

Managing Through COVID-19: Paratransit

Wednesday, March 18, at 4 PM EDT

Listen to the recording

How are paratransit agencies addressing cancellations, increased customer communications, enacting social distancing, and much more? We’re bringing you a live webinar with King County Metro, which has been at the epicenter of the global pandemic, on the lessons they learned over the past few weeks. Matthew Weidner, Strategic Planning and Systems Analyst for King County Metro’s demand response programs, will join us to share their response plan to date. Matthew manages a team that analyzes system operations and technology solutions for DR programs, and plans for the future of DR across the Seattle metropolitan area. He has spent the last 15 years managing and analyzing paratransit operations across the county.

We’ll also go through specific scenarios of using your Trapeze paratransit software to address changes needed quickly.
